Additionally, Tailwind Technologies Inc. has a subsidiary, Tailwind Capital, to finance and support acquisition of additional businesses and to finance growth inside the portfolio. All of the entities are held privately by James W. Brown Jr. and his sons James W. Brown III and Joseph W. Brown (for ease of reference, often referred to as “the Browns”). Tailwind Technologies Inc. has a long and steady track record of profitable growth dating to the acquisition of Hartzell Propeller in 1987.
